Welcome to my world
I’m Gerald Vreden, and I’ve carved out a unique space for myself in the cultural sector. My journey hasn’t been about following the beaten path; it’s been about forging a new one. My work blends the vibrant threads of literature, digital innovation, and the performing arts into something truly unparalleled. I draw from the well of my own life, sharing stories shaped by real experiences rather than theories plucked from the pages of books. This approach has opened doors to a universe so vast and so thrilling, it goes beyond anything most have dared to imagine.
I’ve never quite fit the mold of a traditional author or creator—nor have I wanted to. My passion extends beyond my own creations. I’m deeply committed to nurturing the next wave of talent in the cultural entertainment sphere. This led me to co-found the First Noble Institute, a hub for artists, creators, and learners. The European Institute for world history and Afro Caribbean arts and culture. It’s a place where connections are made, and growth is fostered.
As an author, producer, and creative director, I delve into the realms of sci-fi, adventure, history, magical realism, as well as African and world mythology. I stitch these elements into a tapestry of storytelling that encompasses literature, animation, creative technology, and music. Each project is an invitation to explore the unknown, with me as your guide.
I Lift, As I Rise
I had to overcome many challenges growing up. My life has been filled with trauma since childhood. However, this complicated life became my fuel and motivation to create the vision of a better future for the coming generations.
The essence of my story is transformation, turning adversity into action, obstacles into opportunities. It’s about making remarkable things happen and lifting others as I climb. Leveraging my personal journey and professional expertise, I dedicate myself to mentoring the underrepresented and emerging artists. I aim to sharpen their skills, refine their talents, and empower them to carve their own paths to success.
For me, assisting others isn’t just an act; it’s the cornerstone of my existence. Every step I take, every decision I make, is driven by the desire to create a ripple effect of positive change. In fostering the growth of others, I find my true purpose and the most authentic expression of myself.
Career
Throughout my career, I have played a pivotal role in elevating Hip-hop culture in the Netherlands, bringing it from a niche to the mainstream. Through various media platforms, TV concepts, art expos, fashion shows, clubs, street activations and outdoor festivals, I have introduced the culture to a national audience.
Always focused on the future, I embrace new digital technologies such as VR, AR, Motion Capturing, and Creative Technology to digitize art, tell stories, and create unique experiences. I am proud to be a leading figure in the Afrofuturism movement in Europe, promoting the culture, artists, and history. In January 2023, I launched my first book of a series, “HIS STORY OF THE WORLD, L’Histoire du Monde,” which embodies my passion for storytelling and sharing diverse narratives.
I have reached the next step in my career as an internationally acclaimed interdisciplinary artist and writer. My work is presented at the Carnegie Hall Festivals in New York and the International Black Speculative Writers Festival at Goldsmiths, University of London. I am also very honored to be a part of the international Black Speculative Arts Movement, representing the Netherlands.

Through my writings, I strive to not only entertain but also educate and enlighten readers about the rich tapestry of human experience. I am committed to sharing these diverse narratives and bringing attention to the forgotten stories that shape our collective history.

FIRST NOBLE INSTITUTE
It’s always been Gerald’s intention to create a globally connected community where everyone is treated equally and has tremendous opportunities.
That’s why he co-founded The First Noble Institute, Europe’s first Institute for World History and Afro-Caribbean Arts & Culture, which helps people connect, learn, grow, and prosper.
He founded the Institute with his brother Steven Vreden, a psychologist, educator, and artistic partner in crime.
Gerald’s vision is to give people back a sense of pride, recognition, and inspiration.
